Workspace Configurations

This section is for members of the LEAP-DEV project using GIC SWB.

This section covers how to link the LEAP-DEV study to your account and how to select the LEAP-DEV specific workspace configurations. For additional detail, see How to create a workspace in the General User Guide.

Link the LEAP-DEV study to your workspace

Navigate to the “Studies” tab, and select “Organization”. Here you should see the LEAP-DEV-ETL-OUTPUT folder. Check the boxes next to the folders you would like to link to your workspace and click “Next”. If you do not see the LEAP-DEV-ETL-OUTPUT study, contact us.

Next, you will select your workspace configuration.

Rstudio users: Select “EC2-Rstudio-Server” as the compute platform and click “Next”.

Input your workspace details. Be sure to select the “LEAP-DEV” project ID. When you choose your workspace configuration, make sure you choose one of the LEAP specific ones.

SageMaker (Jupyter Notebook, R or Python) users: Select “SageMaker Notebook-v2” as the compute platform and click “Next”.

Input your workspace details. Be sure to select the “LEAP-DEV” project ID.

After selecting “Create Research Workspace”, you will see your workspace being provisioned in the Workspaces tab. Expect this process to take 7-10 minutes.

When your research workspace status is “Available”, it is ready to use. Connect to your workspace by clicking “Connections” and then clicking “Connect”.
