## New Features and Improvements

* **Variable Distributions Tool:** The Variable Distributions Tool provides graphical visualizations of the filtered cohort. The distributions of variables applied as filters will be shown based on the selected cohort. 
* **Variant Explorer Tool:** The Variant Explorer Tool allows users to view the variant-level data for a selected cohort. Note that a genomic filter must be added for this tool to be used. 
* **Faceted Search:** Users can now refine their search results using faceted search, shown on the Explore page on the left-hand panel. 
* **Streamlined user interface:** This release of PIC-SURE included the migration to a new user interface framework, resulting in a modernized site feel. Feedback was also incorporated into site changes to improve the user experience through the site. 

## Data Updates

* Data available on PIC-SURE now includes Synthea (a synthetic dataset based on an EHR data model) and 1000 Genomes (a publicly available genomic dataset). 
* Updated data dictionary to include additional fields relevant to search and enable other functionality like faceted search.
